******My Opinions Only-Read at your own risk*********
I have always been a politically minded person. I have always voted and stayed on top of the latest elections and learned everything I needed to know to make an educated vote. That being said I was not excited about this election season. There was nothing to get excited about, no candidate was screaming to me. That was until last Friday when an unknown name popped into the ring. My first reaction when my hubby told me the news was, "who?" I immediately went online and found all kinds of info on her. To be honest she sounded a lot like me. One who sees a need and gets in to get her hands dirty and fill the need. A regular ol' jill running for this big of an office, it can't be.
Then last night came and I watched with eager anticipation as she entered the stage. She looks like a lady (unlike some who will remain nameless) and acts like one too. She was bold in a feminine way. I had chills as I listened to her speech last night. She inspired me to go out and make a difference.
I choked up as she talked about special needs kids. I have worked with those sweet kids and they are amazing. What a great example she was to women everywhere!! You can be classy, you can be a lady and you can run for a political office.
I was very impressed last night because I felt like she was very real and pulled no punches. She is one women I want paving the way for women like me who want to make a difference in the world but they are not sure how.
Please this election season do not just vote party lines. Get out there and read and educate yourself on who is the best candidate for you. If you are religious pray about it. As for me I think my decision was made last night. Let the games begin!!!
