Just me and my dad

Logan is ALL daddy's boy. If dad is doing it Logan is right behind him. Logan has been asking Andy for a while to go fishing and he finally got his chance. They had a blast together and I am sure there will be a lot more fishing dates to come.

Memorial Day Fun

Andy's brother's family moved back to Utah for the summer. We have never met Abi so for memorial day we decided to go down and spend a weekend with family.
We had a blast just hanging out and catching up with everyone. We even made our annual trip to the American Fork cemetery and Parker's Drive In for a yummy treat. The Parker's tradition is now on it's 4th generation. This place has the yummiest onion rings and ice cream ever.
We also were able to have a special tour of the new Oquirrh Mt. Temple, thanks grandpa, that my boys have been watching literally from the ground up. It was a neat experience to walk through such a sacred place that we have watched grow right along with my boys. I love the temple!!!
My favorite thing about the whole weekend was becoming the favorite aunt of Miss Abi. Her mom says she never goes to anyone very easily and yet within 5 minutes of me being there she wanted to be held by me. She is a doll so I didn't mind at all.
On Monday we went with the whole Ras fam to the park to play and enjoy some yummy food. The boys loved the playground and our crazy dare devil tried the fast slide, over and over.
We also "welcomed home" grandma from her mission. She has been serving a part time mission in the employment resource center for the last 18 months. It was fun to be able to celebrate the end with her. Check out the picture of the cake. We all had a great laugh over that one.

Soccer Season

Alex played soccer again this year. He had a lot of fun but he is not so sure about the positions and having to stay in on place. He does love playing goalie though.
One thing I loved about soccer season is being able to use a cool setting on my camera, the sports setting. It takes continues pics every 1 second until you release the button. Because of this I have over 200 pics of just soccer. I promise I won't post them all.
Alex played very well and had a great season. Most of all he had a lot of fun. Good job bugs on a great season!!

Nice Kick

Nice save

The Jammers

I felt so bad for this kid, he was hit hard. The series of pictures though make for a great story.

Flat Stanley

Alex's class read Flat Stanley and then had to send him to someone. He sent him to his cousin in DC and he had a lot of fun. He thought it might be fun to send him cross country with his dad as well. So Andy and Flat Stanley boarded a plane together and set off on their great adventure. They went to visit Michigan stadium, Notre Dame stadium and Nebraska stadium. It was a fun filled adventure for all.

Health Days

Alex had the opportunity to march with his school in the health days parade. He was so excited to do that. Logan and I waited on the parade route to see him. Right before his school came all the emergency vehicles came by and Logan went nuts. So as I was trying to calm him I noticed the school banner. I turned on the video camera and started recording. Well I got about 1 sec of Alex and the rest was the sky. Logan did not want to cooperate at all. Alex said he had a lot of fun in the parade. I did manage to get one picture of him.

A day of planes

I wanted to wait to post about this once Andy got back. I didn't want the whole WWW to know my hubby was gone. Andy volunteered to help his brother drive back from Michigan so he was gone for 4 days. We drove him to the airport on Thursday and then I figured we might as well make a day of it. It took a lot of convincing on my part to have Alex miss school.
After we dropped off Andy we went to the end of the runway so the boys could watch the planes take off. They loved the roar of the engines and watching these big huge planes turn into tiny specks in the sky. I didn't take any pics cuz we were techinically not suppose to be where we were and I didn't want the cops wondering what we were doing.
After that we ran to Target to get some safety latches for our doors so Logan can't escape from his room at night. Alex was complaining that he was starving so we had a quick lunch at Mcdonald's. Then it was on to our final destination: The Air Force museum.
My boys were in heaven. Logan kept yelling, "wow" at every thing he saw and this was just on the planes outside. They have quite the collection of planes and it was fun to explain things to them. Alex was really eating up the history he was hearing.

Technically challenged

Man I so need to blog but I just can't get into that groove. Mostly it is my computer and I are not getting along right now. It is slower than dirt and I can't figure out why. It is also not keeping me logged into things it use to. So mostly I stay away from the beast so I don't get mad.
I am also technically challenged with my youngest at the moment. He is truly testing my college degree and everything I learned. He has figured out how to open doors and so today he got himself up from his nap. I was working and did not notice that he was up. When I went to check on him not only was he up but he was up covered in spices. Yes he dumped 4 bottles of spices all over my kitchen. He also threw things down my heating vent. Then as I was in time out he threw a golf ball at my head. I am not sure where to go with him. He puts himself in time out and laughs about it, positive attention does nothing for him and then he smiles at me with those big blue eyes and all the frustration melts away. What is a mom to do?

Helping out a friend!!

This family has to be on the list of favorite people I have. "Elder" Garner and I served together in the great OPM. He then came home and married an awesome wife. A few years after that they moved in just a few doors down from us. Then they adopted the cutest little boy. Luck is on their side again and they are getting another baby in December. They are trying to raise funds to get this little baby here so they have started a blog and they are selling some awesome things. This is one talented couple. So check out this great website to help their cuase.
