Edith Bowen

Alex has the great opportunity to attend a charter school on campus.  We are so excited for the learning explosion we know he will have.  His first day of school he was sick so we had to wait to send him off.  I think it was just nerves as an hour later he was fine and we took him to class.  It is crazy that he is old enough to be in 4th grade.  An adventure awaits!!

4th grade here I come

Family reunion

Andy's whole family was in town for 2 weeks so we decided to make the most of it.  The boys loved having all of their cousins around to wrestle, play games, play football and just hang out together.  The first 7 grandkids are all boys so when they get together it is loud but oh so much fun.   I took over 200 pictures so there were plenty of fun memories made.

Red Neck Water Slide

There is a farm here that has created a crazy fast water slide down the side of a hill.  Our ward has had this as an activity the last couple of years and the boys love it.  It is so fun to watch everyone go down because everyone's reaction is so different.  Who knew a hill and some heavy plastic could be so much fun?

Martin Harris Pageant

Andy had the opportunity to help at the Martin Harris Pageant and so we were able to go with him.  It was a cold day and storm clouds threatened.  I was worried that they would cancel the show but the storms held off.  Before the show they had a bunch of pioneer games that Logan loved playing.  It was a fun night together as a family.

The rain came down

We had a huge summer rain storm and of course we all went out and played in it.  Andy and Logan took off for a fun scooter ride in the rain and came back soaked.  The next day the retention ponds by our house were full so of course the boys wanted to go play in them.  There were a ton of kids outside and they had a blast splashing and playing around.

Fun in the rain

Seriously soaked

Andy's birthday

Andy had a low key birthday this year since the next week we would be at a family reunion with his family.  We had cake and presents and that was about all.  The simple birthdays seem to be the most fun.
Andy is such an awesome dad and husband.  There are many days that are spent wrestling or playing football with the boys.  He is constantly coming up with fun outdoor adventures for the boys and it makes summer so much fun.  Happy birthday Andy, we love you!!
