Logan stayed in nursery the whole two hours today. I am amazed! They said he was a little sad but if they just left him alone he got over it and was fine. It was so nice not to have to wrestle with or quiet a child during Relief Society. I am crossing my fingers that this trend will continue.

Peregrine Falcons
These birds have come to Salt Lake every year to nest on the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has installed a box for the birds to nest in rather than the unsafe ledges. They also installed a camera so that you can watch the birds. Alex has spent a lot of time watching the birds so we thought others would enjoy this as well. Here is the link:http://wildlife.utah.gov/peregrine/ (I am not sure why the hyperlink is not working)Click on camera 2 to get the best view of the mom. She moves about every ten minutes so you can see the eggs. The daddy is rarely in th box but we have seen him twice so far. Have fun!!

Fun times!!
I had some of the best college roommates ever. They truly are the reason I am who I am today. We have been scattered for a while but finally all got together today
Marilee got married a couple of weeks ago so we used it as an opportunity to get together. It was so fun to get together and reminisce about all of the fun times we had as roommates. What was even more fun was watching how well our spouses and kids got along. We are going to be getting together a lot more often. I have posted some fun pics of the group on here but be warned it was really windy so they are not the best pics ever.
This is all but two of the roommates from the 1996-1997 year.
These are all of the kids. Four of the kids were born in 2006, just a few months apart.
This is us and our spouses. We handed the camera off to the kids to take the pictures and they did a great job.
Thanks everyone for making the trek to Cache Valley. It was a great time.

Funny Test
I am one who loves to take these test but I never post them. This one fit me so well I had to post it.
You Are Mulan!

Strong and spirited. You're no one's girly girl; actually you are very determined person with a strong sense of self. Never let go of that! The only thing that equals your sense of self is your family, but the traditions of society can always be bent to protect something or someone you love.
Which Disney Princess Are You?
Does that sound like me?

Mission Accomplished!
Last year my goal was to build up our food storage to at least six months. I was not sure how we could do this financially but I wanted to follow the prophet in this. I found a fabulous website through a friend called pinching your pennies (www.pinchingyourpennies.com) and have been able to accomplish my goal without spending a ton of money. I am now sharing this great treasure with all of you in hopes that you to can be able to have an awesome food storage.
This is our snacks, cereals and grains shelf.
These are all of our canned soups, veggies etc.
We also have a freezer full and a pantry upstairs. The Lord does provide a way for us when we obey his commandments.

Surgery is a success!!
Logan did fabulous at the hospital today. He did not cry at all and seemed content through the whole process. All of the nurses in the hospital loved him and thought he was so cute. Everyone that came in our room was blown a kiss and told thank you. When he came out of surgery he had green taped wrapped around his foot to keep the oxygen reader on. He was fascinated by it so I took a picture of it for him. We were out of the hospital and back home by 9:15 this am.
His recovery has been quick and after his nap he was back to his normal self. He has not been in any pain and is eating just fine. You would never know that he had gone through surgery. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers on our behalf.

Baby Animal Day
This is our favorite family tradition that we look forward to every year. Alex was able to ride a sheep in the Muttin Bustin' contest. He posted a time of 4.5 sec. He was awesome and he is anxious to go again. Check out the last second of his ride (thanks to the 2 sec delay on the camera) Enjoy the slideshow of all the fun things we got to hold and do.

Our Relaxing Night!!!
With all of the stress our little family has been under I told Andy that I needed a night away. He agreed so we made a reservation at Providence Inn. (The link won't work so here is the address if you want to check it out www.providenceinn.com) Thanks tax man for the great refund that made this night possible. This place is wonderful and the rates are very reasonable. It was so nice to have a night where I did not have to worry about anything except the temperature of the water in the tub. In fact I took two baths in the jetted tub and watched two movies. That never happens. Thanks so much to grandma for watching the boys for us!!!
(Not the greatest picture but this is us relaxing.)

Surgery #4
We went to the ENT today for Logan's one year follow up for his tubes. The dr. said his ears have a lot of thick mucus so he is wanting to redo his tubes. He said this will probably be something he will need to have done on a yearly basis. Surgery is scheduled for April 16th.

A little Help Please!!
I am fighting the private blog trend. I have found a lot of friends through other friends and so I do not want to close off my world so others may find me. However, I do not want the freaks of the world to find us either. My request is will you make sure just our first name is on your blog and not our last name. Thanks so much for your help!!!

Alex's First Soccer Game
Alex had his first soccer game yesterday. It was only 32 degrees outside so it was very cold. He is a natural at the game and he is loving it. Here are some pictures and video of the first game.

Logan!!!
Last night I turned on the bath for the boys and then the phone rang. When I came back 20 sec later this is what I found in the bathtub.
I think this kid has had one too many baking soda baths this week.
Then this morning he tried a new exercise to stretch his back. Do you think this will help?

April Fool's Day!!
I have never been into April Fool's day but for some reason this year I thought it would be fun to celebrate. I started off the day by posting this picture on Andy's family blog.
Thanks Jenn for all of your help in making this trick possible.
Alex wanted to play some pranks so he helped me dye daddy's oatmeal blue.
I told Alex that for April Fool's day we were going to have dessert first. When he got home from soccer practice he was excited to see the cake. We cut it and gave it to him and this was his reaction:

Here are our hamburgers made from a yellow cake mix and brownies.
Our cake!! This was made out of meatloaf and mashed potatoes.
We hope you all had a great April Fool's Day!!!

Logan's Weekend!!
Logan found some dog toys at Cabela's that looked just like daddy's kettlebells. He decided to show us how important it was to be a good example.

On Saturday night we noticed a horrible rash he was developing. We coated him with lotion and put him to bed. The next morning when he woke up I noticed something that looked like a zit on his leg. Turns out the chicken pox vaccine gave him the actual chicken pox. We called the doctor's pffice and they said that was more than likely what he had. She said he was contagious and should not be around anyone. We sent Alex on his way to the b-day party with grandma and then stayed at Andy's parents until it was time to go home. We will be quarantined for probably a week they said.

Our weekend trip to SLC!!!
My roommate got married this last weekend so we went down to SLC to go to the reception and to our nephew's birthday party. Congrats to Marilee and Greg!!! They make a great couple.
We decided to stop at Cabela's on the way to the reception so the boys could see the fish. They loved the fish!!! Logan kept kissing the glass as the fish swam to him.
They also had a mountain with all kinds of fun animals as well as a river with trout you could feed.

We had to explain to Alex how the animals got there and that they were real. We mentioned some of them were killed by hunters but some may have just died naturally. He then pointed to one of the prarie dogs that was climbing in the hole. He said oh how sad he died while he was digging his hole. We stifled our giggles as we explained they had been placed there.
We will explain the great way Logan decided to spend this weekend in the next post.
