Last Swimming adventure

We decided we needed one more swimming trip before the summer season was over. It is so nice that Alex will finally go down the water slide. The boys had a blast and it was a great farewell to summer.

First day of 3rd grade

Alex started at a brand new school this year. He didn't want us to drive him so we don't have our traditional in front of the school picture. We hvae 2 in front of the bus pictures though. There are 2 busses that drove by our stop. The first bus stopped loaded the kids on and then realized she wasn't suppose to pick them up. So they all got off and waited for the right bus. It was a little bit hectic. Alex loves his teacher and is so excited to be in a new school.

Bird Rescuer

Andy and Alex were driving up the canyon and saw a little bird on the side of the road. He stopped the car and got out to investigate. As Andy got out of the car the bird went underneath it. He had to move the car in order to get to the bird. He could tell the bird was sick or injured so he decided to bring it home and nurse it back to health. They took it to the vet the next day and found out it had some sort of infection in its mouth so the vet gave it a shot. They brought him home and made him comfortable in a box and hoped they would be able to release it back into the wild. Unfortunately, the bird passed away so Andy took it back up the canyon to bury it.

County Fair

The boys had a lot of fun at the fair this year. My only regret was not buying Logan a wristband as well. Dad took them for part of it while I worked and then I met up with them later. Andy then took Logan home while Alex spent some time on the rides. Next year everyone will get wristbands.

Alex decided he wanted to do a lemonade stand. Isn't that a rite of passge of some kind? He did a great job and made $13.00.

Heritage Center

We have an annual pass to a local farm so we decided to go have some fun. We made butter, we gathered eggs, we fed chickens, we rode trains, we played pioneer games and rode ponies. The best part was just being together as a family outside, that is where all of my boys are the happiest, including my hubby.

Smores

My boys love s'mores and lucky charms. Their grandma and grandpa always spoil them with both whenever we are down at their house. Grandpa found some ginormous marshmallows that he was excited to share. The boys had a blast.

Balloon Festival

My mom has started a tradition with the grandkids to have a sleepover at her house and then go to a hot air balloon festival in her city. Since her car wasn't big enough for all the grandkids I got to tag along. Unfortunately, the wind came up so the balloons never took flight but the kids still had a blast. Logan, of course, spotted the fire engine so we spent some time with that. That boy is going to grow up and do some sort of dangerous job. That is just who he is. We also had a yummy breakfast at the park. Thanks grandma for a great time. The boys loved it!!
