Redneck Waterslide

Our ward had a great summer party at a local waterslide. The waterslide consisted of some plastic and a hose running down a steep hill. Describing this place just doesn't do it just it. You truly have to experience it. The boys loved every minute of this activity.

24th of July

We love celebrating holidays in style!! This year we went to the local parade and got way too much candy. Logan loved all the fire trucks and ambulances he saw. We also got a special treat on the way to our car: a duck parade.

That night we made our own butter for dinner just like the pioneers. We also did some of our own fireworks as well as watching the professionals. It was a great day to refelct on everything the pioneers did to bless our lives.

A day at the pool

What better way to spend a summer day than at the pool? During swimming lessons Alex said he would do the waterslide this year. We went to the pool as a family and he did it. He loves it now and went several times while we were there. Both boys are fabulous in the water now thanks to swimming lessons.

Raingutter Regatta

I have heard the horror stories of the crazed dad who helps his kid with his derby car and it is serious business. When Alex joined scouts I was worried about Derby time and how that would play out. Thankfully it was all just fun, well for the most part. Alex wanted his boat to look awesome so we searched 2 craft stores to find just the right thing to make his boat look great. After a few tester rounds he realized the stickers on the side were not going to work so he took them off. He also had to learn to blow so that the boat would go straight and not wobble. It was a really fun night and everyone was a winner. :)

Buy me some Peanuts

Alex did baseball again this year. He is getting to be quite good at it. He loved being able to tease his mom that she had to cheer for the Giants. That is just unheard of if you are a Dodger fan. There is no better way to spend a summer evening than at the ballpark. Thanks for a great season Alex!!!

Singing Logan

Logan loves singing songs. One of his favorite is I love to see the Temple. I have also put on the video of him singing his ABC's in his own crazy style.

Toy Story 3

What little boy doesn't love Woody and Buzz Lightyear? My boys have watched the first 2 several bazillion times. They were so excited for #3. I have to say I was a little emotional with this one as I have watched Alex lately outgrowing all of his little boy ways. It was a really good movie. We would give it 8 thumbs up.

4th of July

I loved having the 4th of July on Sunday as we had 3 days to celebrate. Fireworks, food and fun what can get better than that? The crazy thing is I don't have too many pics. On the 3rd we went to "our" spot at Lee's to see the fireworks at the stadium. Then we did some of our own fireworks. I hope someday that my boys will love this great country as much as their parents do. It truly is a great blessing to have freedom to live how we want to live.

Swimming Lessons

This year we put both of the boys in swimming lessons. Logan has no fear when it comes to water so we figured we better teach him to swim. He loved it and learned so much. Alex is getting to be quite the swimmer. Who knows maybe someday soon he will go professional? :P
