Pumpkin Catapult

This year the pumpkin walk teamed up with the university's engineering department to get rid of their pumpkins.  The engineering students built 3 catapults to launch pumpkins.  It was so fun to watch the pumpkins fly or some just roll out of the sling.  There was quite a learning curve to getting them to really fly.

Pumpkins for Emma

For family home evening we decided to paint pumpkins for Emma.  Alex and dad were going to take them down when they went to the football game that weekend.  The boys were very creative in their designs.  I think I prefer painting pumpkins to carving pumpkins.  All of the pumpkins turned out great.

Pumpkin walk

This is one of our favorite family traditions.   It is so nice to be able to enjoy all that fall has to offer.   Every year there are so many creative displays and this year was no different.  We loved the angry birds, reading, Despicable Me, USU football, Calvin and Hobbs and of course Winnie the Pooh.  The cookie at the end and the wood cutouts are just the icing on the cake.

A trip to the dentist

Alex had 2 teeth that were sticking almost straight out.  After a trip to the dentist and orthodontist it was decided to pull the teeth next to those teeth.  The x-rays showed his permanent canine teeth were coming in on top of his other teeth.  They were hoping that by pulling his canine teeth his permanent canines would move to the right spot.  Our fingers are crossed.

Conference

I think everyone has a hard time sitting through 4 sessions of conference.  This time I was prepared with bingo, marshmallow temples and a game that you got candy for listening for words.  My boys did really well at paying attention.  Alex loved building his temple with marshmallows.  It proved to be quite the feat but he was determine.  In the end he was able to make a temple!!

Witches

After Conference on Saturday I wanted to do something fun with the boys.  Logan wanted to call the Neu Grandma and see if she wanted to come see the witches with us.  As soon as we pulled up Logan wanted to ride the ponies.  I told him I wasn't sure if they would take debit cards and I didn't have any cash.  he then says, "Grandma always has cash.  She will let me do it."  Of course, grandma did say yes.  We had fun wondering around and seeing all of the crazy places the witches were hiding.  It was a fun day just hanging out with the boys and grandma.

Thanks grandma!!

USU/BYU

We were fortunate to go to another Aggie game against one of my most hated teams.  Now I have to preface this by saying Andy and Alex are Cougar fans.  Logan is still staying loyal to the Aggies, thank the heavens.  It was such a great game but after watching the Aggies fall apart in the last 5 minutes of 2 games in a row I started to panic mid-way through the 4th quarter.  Once again the Aggies gave up and lost.  I was not a happy camper.  I actually left the stand with 2 minutes left in the game.  Well Andy and the boys ended up going on the field and ended up on TV. (The video won't load so you just have to imagine it.)    It was fun to spend time with my family despite the turnout.
