I know I have shared before about my favorite website, www.pinchingyourpennies.com. ( Sorry the hyperlink feature is not working) Well this week I got the deal of all deals. We have an awesome Downeast Outlet store here that I have never gone into before. I went in on Monday because I had heard they had jeans on sale for $1.00, thanks to PYP. I thought this deal too good to be true but I had time to kill while Alex was at Dino camp. Well after trying on 6 pairs I walked out with three in hand. I paid a total of $3.20 for three pairs of jeans. The original price tag was $32.00 for one. Being the math junky I am this figures out to be 97% off. I have never been so excited about a deal in my life so I had to share with all of my blogging friends.

Our crazy monkey.

Logan turned 21 months on Monday so I wanted to do a quick post on how much we love Logan. Logan is also know as stinky roo, Bogan and monkey. Our monkey still loves to climb on everything and he loves to explore. One of his favorite people is his dad. Whenever he wakes up he has to yell for da. He is all boy and loves anything that is muddy, dirty, wet or rolls. He has no fear so no barrier is too high and no hole is too deep for this little one.
Another one of Logan's favorite things is dogs. Whenever he hears a dog he signs puppy and starts barking like crazy. One thing we have done with him is sign listen whenever we hear anything. Now if he hears a bird, plane, siren or anything out of the ordinary he signs listen. It is really cute. He has been such a fun baby and it is sad to see him grow up, well not really grow since he still only weighs 21 pounds. Where will the world take our Logan? Stay tuned for more adventures of crazy monkey. We love you Logan and we are so glad you are a part of our family.

If you look really close at this picture you will notice a diaper in front of him and a tiny bit of bare skin on his backside.

Happy Flag Day

We hope you all are having a great flag day today. We celebrated last night by making a flag out of cupcakes. It was a lot of fun. While I was trying to squeeze the last drop of frosting out Logan was on a sneak attack. I think he thought that the food coloring is what makes the frosting taste so good. Lets just say that he could have joined the blue man group last night. Even his poor teeth were blue. Stay tuned for pics of this. We took the picture with Andy's cell phone rather than running to grab the camera so when he gets home we will download the blue pics.

The Airport Open House
We have a tiny little airport here in Cache Valley and every year they do an open house for everyone. It is perfect for two boys who love anything loud and big. They have all kinds of things from regular USU planes to old 1930's planes. They also bring out the fire trucks the airport uses and the helicopters. Through out the day you can see planes take off and land and both boys were loving it. This will be another thing that becomes a family tradition. This is one of the benefits of living in a small town. Enjoy the slide show!!!

Alex's Kindergarten Days are done

Alex's last day of kindergarten was on May 30th. It seems like time is flying and there is nothing I can do to stop it. I videoed and took pictures of his last time on the bus as a kindergartner. Then when he came home from school he had a file full of artwork and pictures of his Kindergarten days. I teared up as I held his kindergarten diploma in my hand. Where did the time go? It seems like just yesterday you were born and look how far you have come.
Alex I want you to know how proud your mom is of you. You always are doing what is right and I know that no matter the circumstance you are placed in you will do the right thing. You are always so caring and looking out for others. You are very social!!! You have made your mom so proud and I want you to know how much I love you and appreciate you. You teach me daily and I am thankful for that. I love you Alex!! Congratulations on graduating Kindergarten.

Memorial Day Weekend Day 1 Part 1 &2
I love going to the cemetery!!! A lot of people find that strange but there is an amazing spirit to the cemetery and I love going and visiting my ancestors there. Because of this we try and visit the American Fork Cemetery where my mom's family is buried on Memorial day. Alex seems to have this love as well so it is fun to see his enthusiasm as we go and decorate graves. He loved hearing the story of one his may great grandpas who was the first railroad conductor in the world.

After the cemetery we had to go to do our family tradition. When my mom was little she use to have a farm in American Fork. After they worked on the farm her dad would take her to get ice cream from Parker's Drive In. This tradition has carried on and this year my mom took all of us for ice cream. This is an icon in American Fork and although the world is being built towards it it still looks the same as it did 50 years ago when my mom started going there.

Memorial Day Weekend Day 1 Part 3
The Reggie grandma and grandpa invited us to go to Wheeler Farm after we were done at the cemetery so we accepted. Alex's dream of milking a cow came true. Logan loved every minute of the farm and by the time we were done was imitating all kinds of animal noises.

Memorial Weekend Day 2
On Sunday we just spent the day relaxing. Alex, my mom and I decided to go to the Salt Lake cemetery and see some of the prophets graves. We found 6 of the prophet's graves and enjoyed telling Alex a little about each one. We got a special treat as we were walking away from President Hinckley's grave his daughter pulled up. We had a minute to talk to her and introduce her to Alex. (My mom worked for her husband at the time Alex was born and going through his cancer scare.) It was a neat opportunity to feel the spirit of those great men.

Memorial Weekend Day 3
Our plans to go see Thomas got rained out but awesome grandma and grandpa came up with a plan. They took us to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving point. We had never been there before and it was a ton of fun. Logan roared at every dino that he saw.

Oquirrh Mountain Temple
The new Oquirrh Mountain temple is right by Andy's parents house. We started taking pictures in January of 2007 and have taken one every three months. It has been fun to watch the temple grow right along with our boys. Logan was in an infant seat in the first picture and now we can barely get him to stay for a pic. We love going down to Salt Lake because when we do Alex always wants to go and see the temple. The open house is scheduled for next summer.

Alex's Soccer
Alex finished up soccer the middle of May. They do not officially keep score but his coach was competitive so his wife did. They were undefeated. He loves to play and can't wait to play again next year. His favorie part of soccer was kicking the ball into the goal. (I just realized that ALL of Alex's soccer pics are in the .tiff format so I can't post them here. If anyone knows a free converter I can use let me know.)
