Free Pancake Day

We love to celebrate National Pancake day at our house. Pancakes are a necessity with my boys so why not celebrate them. When we saw that IHOP again was giving out free pancakes we were all over that.

Doing our Part to stimulate the economy

Our tax refund arrived on Friday and on Saturday we went shopping. I had promised the boys we would do their room with some of the money Uncle Sam gave us. I was planning on cute matching everything but that was not to be. Alex had his mind set on a certain set of sheets that were way expensive for one set let alone for two. So we have coordination rather than matching. Then at Michael's my awesome hubby found this art piece and I loved it so I had to get it. Luckily for me it was all on sale. Now that we have done our part the rest will go in the bank to keep us alive for the next few months.

Love Fest

I don't think anyone who knows me well would classify me as a girly girl. I am not into frills, lace, pink or anything like unto it. I am not sure if this is why Valentine's is my least favorite holiday or not but it is. I hate that we have a day set aside to show our love. Should we not be doing this everyday? Enough of my soapbox.
Alex came home with a note on Monday about decorating a Valentine box. He wanted something way more creative then his mom could muster so I talked him into this.










Yes my friends that is a pig in mud. Alex loved it and it worked. He took it to school on Thursday and it was stuffed with treats when it returned.
When Alex got home from school we went to his friends house to decorate sugar cookies. They had a lot of fun.



On Saturday Cupid made an appearance at our door and left us some yummy sugar cookies. We also got the boys each a new CD since they both love music. That night I made a yummy Alfredo for dinner for my 3 loves. It was a fun day despite my dislike of the holiday.

Well I think I may be back to blogging. Thanks to the kind soul who made my day a couple of weeks ago. There was a smile on my face for days. Thank you so much!!!

We are currently working on potty training Logan. I should say working on him wanting to. He does it when we put him there and he recognizes the need to go. It is all on his terms though. It drives me nutty because some days he goes all day without an accident and then other days he refuses underwear. Ugh!!
Alex is just Alex. Constantly imaging, thinking and creating. He amazes me with the ideas that come from his mouth. He is one smart kiddo.
Andy is getting the hang of real estate. If you know of anyone who is looking to buy or sell we would love a referral.
As for me my schedule changed this week. I am hoping with this change comes a new motivation to exercise. Bring on the elliptical!!! I will also get my mommy time back when Logan will be napping so that will be good as well.
I promise I will be better about blogging. I think I am out of my winter hibernation and may become a more active participant in life. Enjoy the updates!!!
