First smile

Aaron has been smiling for a few days but we had yet to capture it.  Finally on May 29th it was captured.  Isn't he the cutest?

Memorial Weekend

We headed down to SLC on Saturday morning.  Saturday was just spent playing and having fun at grandma's.  On Sunday we went to American Fork and visited Emma and all the relatives we have at the cemetery.  Afterwards Jay and Kaylani invited us to their house to have a barbeque.  The boys had fun playing on the tramp and helping with the chickens.
Monday was a full day of fun.  We went to take flowers to great-grandpa and had ice cream at Iceberg.  Then we went up to the copper mine.It was a free day and so the place was packed.  It took us a little while to get up to the mine so we didn't get to spend too much time there.  After that we went back to grandma and grandpa's for a barbeque and more cousin fun.  It was a jam packed weekend  but we loved every minute of it.
I am grateful for a holiday that allows us to reflect on all that our ancestors have done for us.  I am grateful I have had this as a tradition in my life.  It has helped me truly get to know these people and love them.  I know they are watching over my baby girl and taking good care of her until I can be with her.

Tiny Tots Preschool

Logan had 2 amazing preschool teachers this year.  It was exactly what he needed.  He loved going to school and didn't even realize he was learning.  Every day was a new adventure.  They had Smokey Bear come, Wanda the Witch, they were all made into Indians for a day and so many other great things.   He was so sad when the last day of preschool came and I have to admit I was a little sad too.Two days later they put on a preschool graduation. They sang songs and talked about all the fun things they had done through out the year. Then he walked and got his diploma. I was such a proud mama. This little boy truly has my heart. I have fought for him since the day he was born and made sure he always had the best of the best. This graduation was symbolic in a lot of ways. He was no longer my baby. He had grown up and was ready to venture into the world. I know his teachers have prepared him for the journey. I just hope I have done so as well.
We love you Logan!!  You are an awesome kid and we know you are going to do great things.

Soccer

Both boys wanted to do soccer this year.  I was ok with that but wasn't sure how it was going to work out since Aaron was due in the middle of the season.  It worked out really well and since we had such good weather Aaron was able to come and hang out at the field as well.  This was Logan's first year and he was quite comical.  There is no order when it comes to 5 year old soccer.  They all just ran after the ball in a herd.  He did play goalie a few times and he really liked that.  Alex enjoyed coaching him and telling him what he needed to do.
Alex didn't have a great season.  It seemed like the coaches were able to recruit their teams.  We were told that some of these teams had been together for years.  Even though it was frustrating he played really hard every game.  His favorite position was the forward spot.
