Alex's birthday

I can't believe it has been 10 years. Sitting in the hospital 10 years ago this was a dream that I never thought we would see happen. Alex's chances of survival were less than 10% and I cherished every day I spent with him. Now 10 years later here he is healthy as can be and truly a miracle. He is so smart and helpful. I can't imagine our family without his laugh and zest for life. I am grateful for miracles!! Happy birthday Alex. We love you.
This year Alex decided he didn't want a big party with the family for his birthday.  He just wanted to stay up here and have a party with his friends.  I was grateful for that as it is always a hassle to plan a party with the whole family.
Unfortunately, my uncle passed away and his funeral was on Alex's birthday.  We made a quick trip to SLC where my mom threw a party for him while I went to the funeral.  When we got back home we had a party for him up here.
