Alex had to do an egg drop at school. He had to design a milk carton and a few other items to hold an egg dropped from a 2 story roof from breaking. After much design work he decided on a parachute type contraption within the carton along with a parachute made out of a plastic bag. We practiced to make sure the contraption would hold the egg. The kids loved throwing the milk carton out of our 2nd story window. It was probably thrown at least 10 times and survived every time.
The day of the egg drop we all waited anxiously outside for the moment. The wind was blowing and it caught Alex's carton and it crashed into the garbage can. Due to the multiple impacts the egg took it broke. He was really disappointed but he is set to try again and be successful.
